Every child deserves to be the best they can be
Butterfly Meadow is a specialist provision within our mainstream school for children who have an EHCP for Communication and Interaction needs. It is a 10 place provision for children aged 7 to 11 years old. The places are allocated by the Local Authority to children with an EHCP who meet the criteria.
All children in the SEND provisions will have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). All consultations for a place in the SEND provisions will need to be made through the EHC Team. Please see the full admissions criteria at the bottom of this page.
Contact the school office who will speak to the SENCO. The SENCO will be in touch to discuss the child’s needs and will plan next steps. Access the pupil specification and Local Offer here.
Children are not automatically entitled to a place within the SEND provision. Requests for a place will need to be made through the EHC Team.
A child will not automatically transfer from the KS1 provision at Castle Academy to the KS2 provision at Hardingstone Academy. Requests for a place will need to be made through the EHC Team.
